Lunch Money Deposit

The federal waiver reimbursing schools for providing free breakfast and lunch has ended. For the 2022-23 school year, school meals will have a cost for parents unless they qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

Meal pricing for this year is as follows:
Student Breakfast: $1.85
Adult Breakfast: $2.45
Elementary and Intermediate Student Lunch: $3.05
Junior High and High School Student Lunch: $3.20
Adult Lunch: $4.60

Due to recent changes in federal privacy laws, our usual platform for lunch money deposits, E-Funds, is not able to accept lunch money deposits at this time. Families should use the Family Portal to make lunch money deposits at this time. Video tutorials are available on the Family Portal website to assist parents/guardians in setting up an account. Student ID Numbers needed for account setup can be located in the ParentSquare app in 3 easy steps:  

  1. Use the 3 horizontal bars in the top left corner. 
  2. Select the student, 
  3. Go to Dashboard, then Overview. 

Please contact Pam Branson in the food services department at pbranson@newpal.k12.in.us for assistance with Family Portal. You may also provide a check or cash to your child’s cafeteria on the first day of school.

Once changes to E-Funds are made to comply with new federal privacy laws, E-Funds will once again be able to accept lunch money deposits. At this time, E-Funds is not available for this purpose. Once E-Funds returns, the instructions below will allow you to create an E-Funds account.

The district is announcing a transition from SchoolPay to e-Funds (EFS) for online parent payments. 

EFS integrates seamlessly with our food service and school fee systems, allowing families a convenient way to make payments for all things school-related. 

Here is how you get started with EFS:

  1. Use the following link to access our school district's e~Funds site: https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56680/.

  2. Refer to the Step-by-Step Guide to assist in setting up your account and adding your student(s).  

  3. Look for an email from CSCSHC <noreply@newpal.k12.in.us> containing the student number needed in order to add your student(s) to your EFS account.

Please be aware of EFS's convenience fee schedule for credit/debit card transactions as follows:

Deposits of $0.01-$100: $2.85
Deposits of $100.01-$200: $5.70
Deposits of $200.01-$300: $8.55
Deposits of $300.01-$400: $11.40
Deposits of $400.01-$500: $14.25

With EFS, we can now offer an additional payment option of ACH Direct Debit from checking accounts for a flat fee of $1.50 per transaction.
